Seafood design
Norwegian industrial designers work with many kinds of manufacturing companies, but industrial design is rarely used by seafood producers. Product development in seafood companies often results from ad hoc changes made during meetings between the producer and customers. In her doctoral thesis at NTNU, Kjersti E. Schulte looked at how an awareness of industrial design can be used to develop and reinvigorate the Norwegian seafood industry. She shows how companies should manage the industrial design process from the idea stage to the finished product.
