Anti-theft bicycle light
NEW PRODUCT: The Defender Bike Light looks like a revolver barrel, and is the world’s first bicycle light that is supposed to be impossible to steal. The light can only be removed from a bicycle using a patented screwdriver, and removing the batteries for the six diodes in the lamp requires a special Allen key.
The Defender Bike Light was developed by Emilie Grønsdal Johannesen, a student at theDepartment of Industrial Economics and Technology Management at NTNU. It is produced and sold by the American bicycle manufacturer Gotham, based in Boston. Johannesen connected with the American company through the Norwegian Entrepreneurship Programme.
