Taking your medicine with an app

It can be hard for small children to take some kinds of medicine. Now, a new tablet application, developed by researchers at NTNU’s Department of Computer and Information Science offers children and their parents some help.

The app includes a story about a child who has to take his medicine. The child understands that he needs the medicine and that it is good – and that he will ultimately be rewarded in the form of a shiny gold star.

The program is aimed at young children who have to use an inhaler.
