Inspired by nature

Trondheim Academy of Fine Art at NTNU: Ingunn Ystad, a recent graduate of the Trondheim Academy of Fine Art, often uses natural materials as a foundation for forms in her work. She manipulates or changes the original form, and in doing so adds something to the system that takes on its own life. The original form is no longer clearly visible, but helps to create a structure or a riddle. Ystad’s works provide no concrete answers, but instead suggest an underlying energy.
